Art Shop at Bolesworth
Back in June, I had the pleasure of hosting my first small exhibition displaying new Cleo work since my move away from the footwear industry. The best part about that, was that I set up my art space at my family home, Bolesworth Castle, during the epic week-long Bolesworth International Horse Show, who's show director is my amazing sister, Nina. Check out my highlights post for more inside scoop!
It was a great experience to get my work out there prior to launching my online shop. Here, I showcased my new series of geometric prints, embellished with hand stitching, my new range of geometric print greetings cards and my new Cleo B sneaker accessories.
My Geometric series takes inspiration from Art Deco patterns and motifs. I design the artworks digitally, experimenting with shapes and colour combinations before the printing process begins. The works are first giclée printed and then treated with various screen printed glazes to achieve different textures and finishes. I then apply hand stitched thread to the gold areas. I've replicated these large scale geometric prints as greetings cards too, which are like mini works of art in themselves. The design is printed on high quality card and finished with gold foil and black spot gloss. The pack even includes a mini sticker for sealing the envelope!
The exhibition was also a great opportunity to display my new range of CleoB sneaker accessories. These little trinkets of loveliness are perfect for sassing up your sneakers or lace up shoes and boots. They come in a range of designs and colours, with pretty jewels and geometric motifs. CleoB Lace Grills, Locks and Charms, as well as art prints and greetings cards are all now available online in the all new Cleo Barbour shop. Go take a look!

It was lovely being back at my family home and seeing my sister and Bolesworth show director, Nina (pictured above left with me).
